Notice the desire, concern or future that has taken root in you. Ask where it came from.
Your dream may be the doorway. Purpose is the larger work it is preparing you to serve.
For students, young professionals, emerging leaders and anyone trying to understand what to do with the future they can see but have not yet learned how to carry.

Growing up around the machines of Lobe Estate awakened a real love for engineering. The dream was not foolish. It was a clue—but it was not yet the whole calling.
As my relationships, faith, service and responsibilities changed, the dream was refined. What eventually emerged was a calling to form leaders and build institutions. Lead from the Heart itself had to travel through the process this book describes: desire, surrender, hidden formation, service, waiting and faithful construction.
A dream is a cherished picture of a desired future. It can give direction, awaken courage and move us beyond passivity. But dreams also have sources. They are shaped by what we behold, whom we admire, what we fear, what we have suffered and the people or ideas with which we remain in fellowship.
That is why the question is not only, “What do I want?” It is also, “What has formed this desire, who will it serve, and what kind of person will I become while pursuing it?”
What is worse than having no dream is faithfully pursuing the wrong one.
The process is not a straight line, and it is not a formula. These five movements help you recognise what may be happening.
Notice the desire, concern or future that has taken root in you. Ask where it came from.
Let the dream be examined, refined, enlarged—or replaced—before it becomes your master.
Allow hidden seasons to build the character and capacity needed to sustain what you hope to carry.
Learn faithfulness inside another person’s vision and with the responsibilities already in your hand.
Move when the time comes—with discipline, people, structure and a purpose larger than yourself.
You need help separating a meaningful call from pressure, admiration or a passing wish.
A former dream no longer fits, and you are trying to understand whether that means failure or refinement.
You sense something real, but your present season feels hidden, slow or disconnected from it.
You need the character, discipline, relationships and structures that help a vision endure.
Six guided movements help you notice what keeps returning, trace what has shaped it, see who it serves and choose one honest next step.
The dream is not only about what you will build. It is also about who you will become, whom you will serve and what God can entrust to you.
