Gospel
See the good news not only as personal salvation, but as the announcement of God’s Kingdom reaching the whole of life.
Your work is not separate from your calling. It may be one of its most practical expressions.
For Christians in offices, classrooms, hospitals, workshops, markets, farms, homes and institutions who want faith to shape the way they work, serve and influence the world around them.

Some take faith seriously but treat ordinary work as merely a way to earn an income. Others pursue excellence at work but leave their Christian convictions at the church door. Still others sense that their workplace matters to God, yet feel isolated or lack a practical language for connecting faith and vocation.
I wrote Marketplace Shift for all three. The book began with a conviction that ministry is not reserved for preachers and church programmes. Service offered faithfully to God and neighbour can happen wherever people teach, build, heal, organise, create, trade, govern or care.
You do not have to leave your profession to take your calling seriously.
This is not an invitation to force religious language into every conversation. It is an invitation to bring your whole Christian life to work: competence, integrity, love, courage, excellence, justice, creativity and concern for the people and systems your work affects.
The book asks a larger question than, “How can I succeed?” It asks, “How can the work entrusted to me become worship, service and a contribution to the good of the world?”
These are not techniques for appearing more spiritual at work. They are changes in perspective that reshape how Christians understand their place in the world.
See the good news not only as personal salvation, but as the announcement of God’s Kingdom reaching the whole of life.
Recover ministry’s basic meaning as service, expressed both inside and beyond the walls of church.
Recognise that worship includes the labour, skill and service we faithfully offer through ordinary work.
Engage the world without withdrawal, control or compromise, seeking transformation through faithful presence.
Imagine the church as a people equipped and sent into society, not simply gathered around weekly activity.
Church feels spiritual and work feels secular, with little language connecting the two.
You are looking beyond income and promotion toward service, contribution and calling.
You want to equip people for the places where they spend most of their week.
You are asking how faith can shape culture through integrity, excellence and responsible leadership.
